Frequent questions about palletizing robots

In general

The palletizing robot is used for final packaging in the industrial production. That means the robot sets the packages according to a given pattern on pallets or other charge carriers. In this way employees can be relieved and deployed effectively elsewhere. Due to the weights, type of goods or required services because of the output volume of the production, the use of a palletizing robot makes sense and is usually even necessary.

The PARO can palletize almost all products which are suitable for the transport on pallets. Frequent packages in the production are cardboard boxes or canisters, sacks, cans, buckets etc. The roTeg conctruction team develops the suitable gripping tool based on the customer´s product specifications.

Aftersales

Subsequent changes on the robot systems are quite possible. Due to the modular construction of the PARO palletizing robot the roTeg team can for example expand the grab space with little effort. The fitters only have to exchange the floor or the vertical axis for a longer module. By this way further palletizing spaces can be added.

During the commissioning the roTeg fitters and your emplyees ensure that your palletizing robot system runs perfectly. In order to avoid subsequent wear damage it is recommended to carry out regular maintenance afterwards. Therefore you can conclude a maintenance contract with the roTeg AG. You can also order individual maintenance work. Should a damage occur anyway please do not hesitate to contact our roTeg service team. This will forward you to the relevant specialist department. If necessary someone from the team will come tou you to repair your system.

Yes that´s possible. For example the roTeg team can carry out new programming. That would be helpful if the PARO suddenly had to take on other sizes and weights. Additionally the gripper can be exchanged for another system. Due to the fact thal all grippers from roTeg are equipped with a DIN ISO 9409 flange, two systems can be exchanged quickly and easily.

Order process

The roTeg fitters install the system at your factory. After that they check if everything is working as you want. As soon as this is the case you sign an acceptance report. The robot becomes your responsibility and palletizes your products for you.

With the help of a carrier the roTeg AG delivers the system to you.

The exact information that the roTeg team needs to develop an optimal system can be found out in detail in a conversation with the distribution department. In general the spatial conditions of your product site (e.g. how much space is available) such as the type and dimensions of the packages to be palletized are important. In addition the roTeg AG needs information about the connection to your production. This includes questions like: What conveyor technology do you have? Which maschines does the roTeg team have to integrate?

Yes, you can. Before the final completion you can come to our company and examine your robot in a test run. Last changes are still possible especially regarding to the programming.

Because the roTeg team adapts the system individually to the needs of your company you order the robot in direkt contact with our distribution department. If you are interested in a system you can select the right person on the website or you write an e-mail to kontakt@roteg.de. From there you will be forwarded.

Technology

The size of the palletizing system is variable due to the modular construction of the robot. The size of your system depends on the task and the available production area. The smallest palletizing system only needs 6 square meters of floor space. The roTeg team can expand this. Additional palletizing  spaces and pallet conveyor technology such as other components for fully automatic operations are possible.

Yes, you and your employees can control the robot. No long trainings are required for this. The roTeg AG has developed an intuitive control software especially for this. With this you control your palletizing system via finger pressure on a touchscreen. You can change packing schemes quickly and easily or generate new ones (e.g. if you want to introduce a new type of package). You can find more about the control software roTeg-Control here.
